There’s armed security when Tiger Woods plays golf. The NFL and NBA would not dream of holding an event without layers of armed protection around and within the event. The political class would never entertain a gathering en mass without layer upon layer of armed protection, combined with pre-planned, protected means and routes of escape should an attack occur. And Hollywood elites, many of whom spend their off-camera minutes bashing the right to keep and bear arms for self-defense, enjoy gathering for award ceremonies that are protected by good guys with “machine guns,” “high capacity” magazines, armored transport vehicles, bomb-sniffing dogs, explosives and more.

But over 3,000 students and their teachers sat in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School with only one armed resource officer in place.
One of the first duties of any government is to protect its citizens. America has a constitutional duty imposed on the government, … that would be on public school teachers to at least be armed to protect our children.
Teachers were on the scene. They showed loads of courage but none were armed. All were disarmed either by their Liberal foolish abhorrence of guns or that schools are in allegedly gun free areas. Time to get real here. The best way to protect is to at least be able to shoot back. One teacher with a small pistol would have deterred the shooter.
Remember the long Island Shooter? Shot up a trainload of people because no one except him had a gun.
There are many historic examples of disarmed citizens being oppressed and killed by their own government. The excuse given by authorities that they need to take guns away from citizens in order to lower crime rates is not supported by facts. Even if a government does not turn on its own citizens after disarming them, people are less safe – because unarmed citizens are easy targets to criminals. Over and over again, it has been clearly shown that taking guns away from citizens does not lead to a decrease in crime but rather a dramatic increase.]

Australia disarmed it’s citizens, and a year later the homicide rate in the largest province is up 300%. The burglaries of seniors is “dramatically” up.

The unique American 2nd amendment is essentially  about the ability and the right to defend oneself and ones family. It doesn’t matter if that threat is a burglar, or the Federal Government. Having its citizens armed was the plain and simple intent of the founding fathers of our country.It is inhumane to demand that educators likewise be sitting ducks.
