In solitude. Just Putin, Trump and their interpreters. With Rex Tillerson in reserve along with whomsoever Putin wants to bring. Trump can get anyone he wants to Camp David rather quick so America will be well represented and Russia needn’t worry about not having the right people there. Putin is all they need.

These two alpha types can get the job done fast and all by themselves. No ambassadors, no U.N. hacks, no lawyers.

Should we trust them? In two words, of course. These are both patriots of their respective cultures. They know the stakes, , the issues, the paths, the odds and the consequences.

In a message to Trump following his victory, Putin expressed confidence that “building a constructive dialogue between Moscow and Washington, based on principles of equality, mutual respect and each other’s positions, meets the interests of the peoples of our countries and of the entire international community.”

Trump’s team also issued a statement, saying that the US president-elect is “very much looking forward to having a strong and enduring relationship with Russia and the people of Russia.”

Camp David is an ideal place because of it’s security. Other places are available. Moscow is 4,900 miles from D.C. The middle of the Atlantic ocean is halfway so a meeting aboard a navel ship, a carrier so they could fly there would be very secure, just don’t announce it in advance.
Greenland, Iceland, Nova Scotia, Alaska. Somewhere around the Black Sea. There are plenty of places that are sufficiently isolated however Putin is anxious to meet with Trump so even the United Nations is a good place and has Putin ever had Manhattan Deli?

What would they talk about? What would be on the agenda? Trade. Commerce. Terrorists. ISIS.

Wherever it happens the world will breathe with relief.
