Chili is like Gumbo or Jambalya. They all contain ground beef, onions and garlic in addition to about a dozen other things to kick-up the taste. Things like tomatos, tomato sauce, rice, oregano, mushrooms, chili powder, cloves, carrots, zucchini, cumin, hot sauce, jalepino peppers, celery, sausage, all sorts of beans, bacon, sour cream, cottage cheese, chedder cheese, flour, cilantro, parsley, ginger, cinnamon, corn meal, beef broth, chicken broth, green, red or yellow peppers, cocoa powder, orange and/or lemon juice, pork, chicken, hot dogs, shrimp, and crawfish are some of theĀ  things that kick up chili. You can cook up some onions, peppers and beef and add just about everything you have on hand and it will come out fine if you don’t go too far overboard with the ingredients. You can buy ready-made chili or go to Wendy’s but no chili will beat the chili you make at home so hop to it.
