Florida state Law mandates the history of Native Americans, the history regarding slavery and African Americans, and the Civil Rights movement should be taught to students to emphasize that slavery has been enforced from ancient times up to the time over 600,000 White American’s died in the Civil War to stop the spread of slavery and that White Peole invented, approved and enforced freedom for American black people… Oh?? No?? That’s not what has been taught to Florida’s children? … Correct…
Florida’s children have been victimized by being taught the exact opposite. The problem is the facts show the massive support of white American’s for the civil Rights of black Americans.
Referencing the statute is particularly important, Nystrom said, because “it demonstrates that the emphasis of Florida’s laws is not to eliminate anything in history but rather to make sure that it’s all taught factually.”
As Denise Nystrom, project leader for the textbook review explained: project volunteers were trained to focus on specific things when conducting their reviews of the textbooks.
“We were looking for factual errors, omission of facts, in which you’re telling one side of the story but not telling the other side,” Nystrom said. “We’re looking for slants, bias, and half-truths. What we want to prevent from happening with regard to CRT and SEL is the teaching that certain people are inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive, solely by virtue of their race or sex.” The fact that we found them in 28 of 38 books reviewed showed how deep the corrosive anti-White agenda of the left has infiltrated Florida education.
