They tried to claim the white outfits showed ‘SOLIDARITY” but the idea was to show hate. It worked so far as showing hate but the solidarity utterly failed. They were like little brats who wanted to have things their way and no one else’s ideas counted with them. Result? Division… Divisiveness, .. Contrariness…Disobedience… Un-American.. The Faces of Hate.
Another bit of prevarication was the idea they were representing the Suffragettes that worked to get the Right to Vote for women. That passed the U.S. Congress in 1919.
The childish idea to all dress alike for some reason was simply to insult president Trump. Does this look like a dignified group? No. It looks like a bunch of people at a horse racing track or a high school basketball game, not a group of dignified representatives of the people.
Solidarity? Not with the people of America…. Not with the voters…. Not with the Congress of the United States… No. . . Solidarity with the oppressed of America? No…. Solidarity with themselves and with a variety of causes but not solidarity with America which is why they were invited in the first place.
they wanted free publicity and they got it but for what? There’s no lasting effect because there was no effect in the first place. Disrespect gets no respect and the women in white got that and nothing else.
President Donald Trump has mocked Democrats’ new radical policy, the “Green New Deal,” which calls for the elimination of fossil fuels in a decade, plus guaranteed income for all Americans “unwilling” to work.
The plan, introduced by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday, quickly gained the endorsement and co-sponsorship of several major presidential candidates, as well as eleven Senators and 67 House representatives.
Republicans are thrilled at the prospect of their rivals embracing a policy that promises to wipe out massive portions of the American economy, and the president is no exception.
Trump tweeted on Saturday evening: “I think it is very important for the Democrats to press forward with their Green New Deal. It would be great for the so-called “Carbon Footprint” to permanently eliminate all Planes, Cars, Cows, Oil, Gas & the Military – even if no other country would do the same. Brilliant!”
“The American people will reject her (Warren) dishonest campaign and socialist ideas like the Green New Deal, that will raise taxes, kill jobs and crush America’s middle-class.”
So said a member of the Texas City Council about Ocasio for criticizing President Trump during his State of the Union address to Congress.
Republican Scott Dunn, member of the City Council of Richardson, near Dallas, tweeted that Ocasio was a bimbo when Ocasio responded to GOP criticism that she wasn’t enthusiastic enough during Trump’s speech. She declared in a tweet: “Why should I be ‘spirited and warm’ for this embarrassment of a #SOTU?”
Dunn tweeted: “The embarrassment is to have bimbos like you with nothing between your ear[s].”
After major blowback, Dunn deleted the tweet — and apologized. By Saturday his entire account was gone. Oh well, …. but he didn’t deny that he sincerely believed Ocasio was a bimbo.
A bimbo is a woman who is not pretty enough to be a model, not smart enough to be an actress, and not nice enough to be a poisonous snake.–P.J.O’Rourke
Dunn told The Dallas Morning News that he had attacked Ocasio-Cortez “in defense of the president” and his speech.
Republican political strategist and campaign consultant Ed Rollins last month called Ocasio-Cortez a “little girl” with a big mouth, and Twitter trolls relentlessly attack her appearance.
The Washington Examiner‘s Eddie Scarry tweeted a photo of her in November and wrote that she doesn’t “look like a girl who struggles.” The Daily Caller promoted what it described as a possible “nude selfie” of her last week before walking back its headline.
How off-putting are the Democrat candidates? The White Witches who should be marched off the stage for being especially un-American and under-inclusive yet should support diversity in American president Donald J. Trump who won against the strongest, most-powerful Democrat, Hillary. That’s a Yuuge Victory!
Like Australia, the New World as it was called back in 1608 was where England sent white slaves. Facts are scant and estimates vary but up to 66% of the white people sent to the New World were sent in chains as slaves. They were chained and called “indentured servants” so when a black skinned congresswoman celebrates only black people and says: quote:
“Every February, we celebrate Black History Month.
“But this year is particularly meaningful, as we mark the 400th year since the first African slaves arrived on the shores of America.
“Families were separated, children were taken from their parents, and they entered into lives of bondage and unspeakable cruelty.
“From this painful history, African Americans have risen – to lead our nation, transform music and art, pioneer new inventions, and speak as the conscience of this country.
“I stand on the shoulders of Black leaders who spoke truth to power.
Fair enough and true but it neglects a far larger point and perhaps even more important point since it involves far more people.
America’s dirty little secret isn’t racism but classism. While pouncing incessantly on racial themes, most major media are silent about America’s widening class rifts, a problem that negatively affects more people of all colors than does racism. With an unmatched ability for rubbing salt in cultural wounds, author Jim Goad deftly dismantles most popular American notions about race and culture and takes a sledgehammer to our delicate glass-blown popular conceptions of government, religion, media, and history. White people were slaves too. Whites unfortunately have been white-washed from the founding stories to not only their detriment but to the detriment of everyone because those who are ignorant of history will be hurt thereby.
Want an example? Black pride is celebrated. White pride is condemned.
How about one more? White Supremacy is a myth. Well, actually Orientals and Ashkanazi Jews are superior to whites but white people are smarter than some other groups. Just be careful not to apply the supremacy label to individuals who can be very different than the stereotypes.
England referred to indentured servants as “chattels” and as such became the property of their new owner/master.
The first chattels (slaves) in Colonial America were white Europeans. A majority initially consisted of convicts from England and then a surge of Irish Catholics were “spirited away” to make room in Ireland for the burgeoning British and Scottish Protestant populations. Two days after the American Revolutionary War began the trafficking of white human cargo ended. King George III eventually settled at sending his miscreants and convicts to Australia and New Zealand, circa 1820.
Public education in the USA sanitized this cruel chapter in its pernicious beginnings. It’s too bad — as we generally learn from our past. But when history is whitewashed, (no pun intended), then no one is the wiser. As the saying goes, “ignorance is bliss”..
