The kids nursery rhyme says: “When the boys came out to play, Georgie Porgy ran away”. In the case of Northampton’s anonymous web child who prefers anonymity to standing proud like me, is helping his party lose elections. Northampton’s Democrats on the other hand are united, visible and effective. They have nothing about which to be ashamed so they use their own names. Voters don’t have to guess about Supervisors Rothermel and Cunningham. They are good people who have only been in power a little over a year and a half.

Rothermel and Cunningham were handed a dirty deal budget passed by the opposition. They accepted it as a challenge and kept the spending down. This year with the first budget by Democrats Rothermel, Cunningham and Dr. Rose, they did something never done by the opposition. They kept the budget from the year before and are going to meet it in 2013. No tax increase for over two years. That’s good for Northampton.

Rothermel and Cunningham faced four years in supervisor hell while the Komelasky, Silver, Deon majority refused on many occasions to let them speak during the meetings. Compare that with the way Rothermel and Cunningham govern. They listen while supervisor’s Silver and K0melasky blurt out political trash talk. The supervisor meetings have been better because they have been more effective.

I’m registered Republican. I support good government and good people. That’s why I’ve endorsed Frank Rothermel and Jim Cunningham for Supervisors and Barbara Bucknum for Tax Collector. Join me at the polls on November 5th and return Rothermel and Cunningham to office. We deserve them and they deserve our votes.
