Police Commissioner and Mayor Frank Rizzo was himself a Philly landmark during his storied career. A statue to honor and commemorate him was erected in Center City Philly in front of the Municipal Services building.
It has been “removed” to a secret location. In addition to the bronze statue a mural of Rizzo was painted on the side of a building at 9th and Melrose. It was also “removed” by being painted over with light beige colored paint.
Will it be replaced by a mural of Floyd George?
