Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr in a radio ad told the people of Milwaukee: “Simply calling 911 and waiting is no longer your best option”. He ypld the citizens waiting for law enforcement to arrive: “you can beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back. Calling 911 and waiting is no longer your best option. His responsible advice was for citizens to take a gun safety course. Because of budget cut’s some police and Sheriff department officers were laid off. The average 911 wait time in Milwaukee is about 17 minutes, more than enough time for a violent intruder to really hurt people inside a home.
