America is said to be two nations but we are far more divided than that. Take Trumps campaign. Thousands showed up at his campaign rallies. Mostly white people. Take Obama’s campaigns Lots of white people and many black people and it showed in the voting. CNN reported that in 2012 more than 66% of eligible blacks voted in the presidential contest but only 64.1% of whites turned out to vote.


But America is split into more than just black and white people. America is split into Democrats and Republicans too. Then there are the Christians who are Democrats who support and oppose abortion. That’s a split in the Democrats as well as the Christians.

Some women marched in Washington to protest Trumps election. The day before loads of men and women marched to support Donald Trump as the 45th President but the Woman’s March was about divisions in the American culture, divisions which existed before Trump and which could not have been caused by Trump.

Other women marched to support gay rights. Still others went to support a woman’s right to her body. Yet others went to support Civil Rights for Black people. Some wanted more Mexicans to come to America. Others opposed not only more Mexicans but more immigrants. One woman protested FDR’s detainment of japanese in America after the Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor and the war against America by Japan which took two nuclear bombs to end. Some compared Trump to Hitler, thereby verifying Godwins Law: “sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Hitler.”

Other women wanted more protection for the environment. Yet others wanted fewer EPA regulations. Linda Zunas marched in Antarctica in solidarity where she supported Penguins For Peace. Some supported a certain part of the female anatomy. Others wore pink hats, some with cats ears. Michael Moore was there even though it was a woman’s march. Madonna was annoyed she couldn’t blow up the White House. She said at a microphone: “Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House.” No doubt the Secret Service will pay her a visit for that dumb remark.

Many of the Hollywood types attended the Woman’s march but refused to support the President. Did you keep the score of the different factions and groups and issues. So don’t blame Trump for all the division in America. He’s trying to get us together.
