Obama left Israel out of his first multi-day trip to the Middle East as president, when he visited Cairo and Saudi Arabia but ignored Israel in June 2009.

“He reached out to the Arab and Muslim world and then he didn’t go to Israel. That was the original miscalculation”. “He lost them there and he never got them back. It sent a message that he didn’t like them that much, that he wanted to put some distance between the United States and Israel.”

Make no mistake: Obama has handed a useful club to Israel’s enemies. Nonetheless, his leftist idea that he can effectively shackle the United States and Israel with international law is a progressive pipe dream. Neither Trump nor Israel’s Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu is intimidated by the United Nations.
