The President has literally thousands of people under his command and control. Some of them are responsible to obtain, analyze, draw conclusions and act within their sphere of control. An urgent military response might be needed so a field commander will immediately act without notifying the President. It’s like a large corporation where millions of lesser decisions are made second by second and the company manager doesn’t have to be involved unless it’s an exceptional situation but even then in the case of a nation there are high level people who are expected to make the decisions and they must be capable of making the right decisions. It’s the job of the President to pick people who can do that. It’s not the job of the President to constantly decide what to do. Obama never moved into the job of managing the nation. His speciality was organizing, not managing so, wrongly, he thought he should make all the decisions. He needed a reminder of what happened yesterday and so he could decide what to do today. He needed a “Daily Briefing”
But the President does not have to micro-manage the nation. It would be foolish to expect the president to decide everything or even most things. Neither upper management nor the President should be involved in the day to day decisions of a company or a nation.
President Obama not only hasn’t learned how to do that, he has never been interested enough to develop a team of people who can make the decisions that are expected of the Executive branch.
President Obama needed a daily intelligence briefing. He needed to be told what was going on every day otherwise he would forget what went on yesterday and even worse, he wouldn’t know what to do about tomorrow. the best thing about President Obama’s eight years as President is they are almost over.
One of President Trumps enemy organizations is CNBC. They mocked his intelligence when they made a huge headline that said: “Trump claims he doesn’t need daily intelligence briefings because he’s a ‘smart person’ The report was written by a puke who wrote the fake headline. “I don’t have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years. Could be eight years — but eight years. I don’t need that. But I do say, ‘If something should change, let us know.’ Trump also said I “
