No one leaves a great culture. A look at the shoppers at a typical American mall shows which cultures failed and which ones didn’t. Immigrants come to America from lesser and failed cultures. People leave a failed culture and come to a successful one.
American values are superior to all others. But one need not be a American to hold American values. A person can be Chinese, Japanese, Jewish, African or Arab and hold American values. By the way, it is no accident that America’s values of reason and individual rights have produced unprecedented health, life expectancy, wealth and comfort for the ordinary person. There’s a clear indisputable positive relationship between liberty and standards of living.
But freedom doesn’t mean free stuff. Nor does thinking like an American and acting like an American make a dumb person smart. The dumbest people on the planet must be the Americans who still try to change America back to a pre-America where thuggery and slavery were normal. There is also indisputable evidence that the dumb Americans are unwilling to defend themselves from barbarians. Just look at our response to the recent Orlando massacre, in which the dumb Americans among us focused their energies on guns rather than on terrorists.
