A political campaign has a unique attribute. Candidates are allowed to tell lies. It’s expected that some candidates will tell lies because for example Bill Clinton never told the truth about Monica. We have to guess how some of himself came to be on the blue dress.
Mitt Romney on the other hand was supposed to be above the lowness of the last political campaign. He showed us otherwise. He attacked Trump. Not good.
But people change. Trump called Romney a loser. Said he choked in the stretch. Romney called Donald a fraud and a phony. How could these two people get together?
Simple. Let bygones be bygones. Neither one knew for sure Donald would win.
So Romney sucked it up and met with President Elect Trump. Both men smiled at each other and shook hands. Like drinking a cup of friendship. Their planned 30 minute meeting went three hundred percent longer. An hour and a half. That’s how adults act. It’s how to be a gracious winner and a gracious loser. There’s work to be done. There’s another game coming up.
Mitt is an example to the Hillary crowd. Lose with grace. Don’t be a crybaby.
