In 2014, the Tea Party Patriots group spent just 10 percent of the $14.4 million it collected actually supporting candidates, with the rest going to consultants and vendors and Martin’s hefty salary of $15,000 per month; in all, she makes an estimated $450,000 a year from her Tea Party-related ventures. Today, of course, it’s all about Trump, but Trump rallies are only Trump rallies, not Tea Party rallies that he assumed control of. There are no more Tea Party rallies.” Trump doesn’t need them.
The future of the Tea Parties can only be a New Tea Party that works with Trump and the republicans everywhere to make American government smaller at every level. Trump is Federal. Government is local, regional, county, and State. Four of the five tentacles of the government are not under Trumps control. He can affect the local school boards by eliminating the Federal Department of Education which he has promised to do but the tea Party spirit will live on at the local levels. The National tea Parties are no longer needed.
Or, as the envious Democrats say they are going to create Tea Parties of the Left. Yeah, good luck with that. Democrats are socialist at heart, not fighters for an individual Liberty. Democrats are about control, not freedom. Democrats are those who supported big government back when King George III taxed the tea that the tea party dumped into Boston harbor. Democrats are the natural enemy of the Tea Party. They are also the natural enemies of President Donald Trump.
The New Tea Parties need to oppose the socialists, the progressives who are really just people who either don’t want change or who want to tell everyone else how to run their lives. Trump opposes them. The New tea Party doesn’t need to be coordinated by Jennie Beth Martin. Their leaders are themselves, just as they were at the first protest in Boston and the big one in DC back in 2009.
