Conventional wisdom holds people divide themselves into tribes based on their birth nationality, their perceived race, their religion and their wealth. But people also divide along the lines of their intelligence. Sociologists, geneticists and psychologists reject the notion of racial differences in intelligence, pointing out that economic and social factors clearly influence IQ test scores. That’s the reversal of cause and effect.
Since intelligence is measurable, there’s no reason it should not be measured. The social problem with Intelligence occurs when government uses it to design and develop social programs. That’s not governing, it’s ruling.
Government causes all sorts of problems in the social sphere, among them is not admitting there are differences in intelligence when it’s been clearly established there is. The evidence if racial differences in intelligence . The evidence of the differences is overwhelming.
Research showed that whites tended on average to score higher than test takers of African ancestry on IQ tests, and subsequent findings that test takers of East Asian background tendedto score higher than whites.
The first test showing differences in IQ between different population groups in the US was the tests of United States Army recruits in World War I. In the 1920s groups of eugenics lobbyists argued that this demonstrated that African-Americans and certain immigrant groups were of inferior intellect to Anglo-Saxon whites due to innate biological differences. So far so good. That showed the differences in IQ based on the races of the tested. The problems began when some people began using IQ for policies of racial segregation. Government was the problem, not IQ. But IQ got blamed, just as guns not people get blamed for using them.
More work and better conclusions are needed here.
