She lied about what Trump said about the Federal Reserve: “They’re keeping the rates down so that everything else doesn’t go down,” Trump said in response to a reporter’s request to address a potential rate hike by the Federal Reserve in September. “We have a very false economy.”
But Hillary said he was purposely changing the policy of the Fed when he wasn’t. He was answering a legitimate question so Hillary was lying when she falsely characterized what he said thusly: “He should not be trying to talk up or talk down the economy, and he should not be adding the Fed to his long list of institutions and individuals that he is maligning and otherwise attacking,” He was doing no such thing. Hillary manufactured an issue out of thin air then used it to attack Trump. He never said or did what she accused him of and she knew that when she used the Strawman argument to wrongly attack Trump.
She misrepresented Trumps position to make it easier to attack.
By exaggerating, misrepresenting, and completely fabricating Trump’s argument, she tried to make it easier for herself to present her position as being reasonable, but this kind of dishonesty serves to undermine honest rational debate and no sane person would ever accuse her of that. Dishonest Hillary aka. “Crooked Hillary”.
