What has John McCain done for veterans? What has he done in the Senate? Is he coasting on his reputation until retirement? Donald Trump called all that into question after McCain went after Trump in a totaly uncalled for manner and said: “Trump has fired up the crazies.” McCain’s senior adviser Steve Schmidt said: “My personal view is that it ought to trigger a fight for the soul and heart of the Republican Party and the conservative movement.” Trump is in the fight.

Trump said, after Rick Perry verbally attacked Trump and said “He (Trump) only offered a toxic mix of demagoguery and nonsense”. Trump said Perry doesn’t know what demagoguery means and that Perry should be forced to take an IQ test before the debates.

Considerable respect is appropriate to John McCain for his service especially his very patriotic attitude displayed during five years of being tortured by the North Vietnamese. John McCain’s accomplishments including running for President against Obama as well as being a U.S. Senator and Congressman since 1987 are in addition to the considerable courage, bravery and ability required as a Naval Air pilot, one of the most difficult flying assignments. John McCain nevertheless crashed several aircraft, was not an “A” student; was a rather poor pilot and was captured after his aircraft was destroyed by a missile. McCain did not put himself in that situation but he is taking advantage of it, possibly more than he should. McCain is an authentic American hero. But there are plenty of bigger war hero’s. Those who did not come back. They were killed. McCain wasn’t killed. He did not give his life in the service to America. He didn’t capture himself so he is getting credit for something he didn’t do. He also confessed to the North Vietnamese which he believed was a sell-out because his confession was used to torture and break other P.O.W.’s

WHAT KIND OF WAR HERO IS MCCAIN?
There are higher and lower types of war hero’s.

    There are:
    Snipers like Chris Kyle.
Those captured and tortured like McCain.
Those who were wounded whose wounds eventually healed.
Those who were wounded and permanently disfigured.
Those who fought and killed the enemy but were neither captured nor wounded.
Those who were captured and murdered during interrogation.
Those who were captured and became traitors by admitting to the enemy they were war criminals.

Both McCain’s father and grandfather became Admirals. Three of his sons are serving in the military. But, …. John McCain finished 894th out of 899 at the Naval Academy and lost five jets. As IQ ace Steve Sailer noted: β€œTo lose one plane over Vietnam may be regarded as a heroic tragedy; to lose five planes here and there looks like carelessness.” Yet John McCain attacked a successful businessman who is a fellow Republican. Why didn’t McCain figure out that Hillary should be attacked, not fellow Republicans and certainly not Donald Trump? Was it more carelessness or just plain jealousy? McCain can fly jets, although that’s in the past. Donald Trump owns a jet and has jet pilots flying for him. McCain is ready for retirement. Trump is just warming up.

Ilana Mercer called McCain McMussolini for his far too headstrong mistaken name calling of Republicans who support Donald Trump.

If the issue is decided based on patriotism, it’s a draw. If it’s based on capability, Trump has it all over McCain as a leader, a doer and as someone who is extremely qualified to lead America. McCain is past his prime.

The question for Trump is: can he win an election against Hillary Clinton? The answer is he has a much better chance that all of the other candidates because compared to Hillary he’s head and shoulders better than her. He has succeeded in real estate while Hillary failed in real estate with the Whitewater Project. Hillary has loads of money for which she did little in the way of providing a product or selling something. Hillary is coasting on her reputation as the First Lady but she has almost no personal accomplishments and lots of dubious activities in her checkered past.
