Why spend more money for government run railroads? Government doesn’t fly the airplanes and they don’t cost anybody anything unless they buy their own ticket. AMTRAK costs taxpayers billions. When they make a mistake they get more money.
Why would AMTRAK want to get better? The worse they get the more money they get which is backwards from the way it’s supposed to be.
