When Obama addressed the United Nations he supported Government Restrictions on Free Speech; yes he did. The Obama administration has vigorously targeted journalists in an aggressive effort to crack down on whistleblowers and has been slammed for its lack of transparency with the media. The Obama IRS punished Tea Party Groups who needed protection from the government for their free speech but got penalized.
Nor is U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry a solid supporter of America. Kerry threw his military medals that he received during the Vietnam War over the White House fence. He enjoyed the freedom of expression that the Obama administration has denied to others many, many times.
So it was better for Obama, Biden and Kerry to boycott Paris because their presence there would have been hypocritical. They do not support free speech. They have a record of attacking and punishing people for what they say especially if they say anything critical about race or what they believe but because Obama, Kerry and Biden are the government they should protect, not punish speech but they have not done that.
Many of the world leaders who marched in Paris do not support Free Speech either but they marched in Paris. Why? .
Which world leaders attended the Paris March? Angela Merkel the German chancellor. Francois Hollande, the French President, British Prime Minster David Cameron, the prime ministers of Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, and Turkey, the presidents of Benin, Gabon, Kosovo, Mali ,Niger, Romania, Senegal, Switzerland, Togo, and Ukraine, and the foreign ministers of Algeria, Lebanon, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates. The United States and China sent their ambassadors to France.
They attended because they wanted to pay their respects to the murdered people.
It was better neither Obama, Biden nor Kerry attended even though they embarrassed Americans especially the dead American Military people who fought to free France in two World Wars and who are buried in France.
