Blame The Victim For Riots & 9/11 Which Were Approved By The U.S. Supreme Court. It’s the “Fighting Words Doctrine”.

The press was given some advice by Congressman Emanuel Cleaver who said: ” All we are going to do is make a lot of black kids angry.” The man is positively psychic. He knows what the future holds. He gives the same advice the Left gives about the Middle East: “Don’t get the terrorists angry”. That’s the standard reason given by the Left for  the 9/11 attacks. America got the Terrorists mad so they attacked America.  The left blames Abel for being killed by Cain.

Of course most people blame the perpetrator for the crime but there are exceptions where the victim is held to be responsible for agitating the perpetrator who went into a rage caused by the actions of the victim. It’s called  “The Fighting Words Doctrine” It was identified in the Supreme Court in 1920 as follows:

“There are certain well-defined and narrowly limited classes of speech, the prevention and punishment of which have never been thought to raise any constitutional problem. These include the lewd and obscene, the profane, the libelous, and the insulting or “fighting words” those that by their very utterance inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace. It has been well observed that such utterances are no essential part of any exposition of ideas, and are of such slight social value as a step to truth that any benefit that may be derived from them is clearly outweighed by the social interest in order and morality.”

The Fighting Words Doctrine may explain why so many black teens got into fights with each other at various malls around Christmas, normally a holiday when people feel good cheer towards each other. It’s proper to ask: “Who provoked them?” Or maybe “What provoked them?”

Oh, wait. Suppose they weren’t provoked? Or, perhaps they are aggrieved because of past wrongs done to them? Maybe the provocation happened centauries before like the Battle on the field of the Blackbirds in Pristina, Serbia in 1389. That’s the reason the United Nations had to take Kosovo away from the Serbs. The battle they lost in 1389 kept provoking them, so it is said.
