The logic of Pope Francis is the logic of Karl Marx but Marx isn’t the first communist to believe money should be taken from the rich except from the King. The Catholic church was pretty poor when it began. It made sense to them to call money evil or even worse for the rich to tell them that the love of money is the root of all evil. Basketball hadn’t been invented back then so the Popes didn’t risk racism when they called for people with money to give it to them.

Likewise “Poor Francis” as he prefers to be known want’s to seize the money of the rich but not from the Pope who has about $16 to $18 billion stored in the vaults of the Vatican Museum. Time magazine made the estimate.

Having been to the Vatican and seen the vast treasures of one of the most rich organizations in the world, the estimate is low. How much is the Sistine Chapel worth? It has original Michelangelo’s all over the walls and ceiling. It’s priceless. Same for the Bernini’s all over Saint Peters including one of the most moving Carrera marble sculptures, “The Pieta”. The Pieta’s value is incalculable. Likewise St. Peter’s Basilica.  Michelangelo, Bernini and Bramante were the main architects of the magnificent basilica was completed on 18 November 1626. The value? No one knows but it’s arguably one of the most expensive buildings in the world.

The Pope favors a higher minimum wage but wants someone else to use their own money to pay the extra money. Francis should willingly contribute to the loss to every business as they follow his idea to pay people more money. His contribution would be, oh lets say $18 billion. Either he donates his $18 billion or he betrays his principles Meanwhile he should stop condemning rich people like himself for having money.
