Curds happen during cheese making. Kurds happen to be a group of people who exist on a sort of connected properties in Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Iran, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. They want their own land, like Israel has. Their desires are not coincident with the countries in which they are now. Should they be “given” their own land?
They do not live where government protects the individual as happens in America. The areas of the Kurds are in many countries but none of them look with favor on the Kurds. They are not united by religion. There was a country called Kurdistan but it disappeared when the area was conquered by larger states.
The Kurdish issue is mostly ignored by the West. Neither America, the UN nor Europe want to address the issue but there are about 30 million Kurds. That size of a problem will not easily go away.
