The most successful evil, dark spy operation in human history was the Soviet KGB that spied on millions of people including heads of state, FBI director Hoover, Martin Luther King Secretary of State Kissinger and routinely planted false information in the media. “THE SWORD AND THE SHIELD; The Mitrokin Archive”, is about a thousand pages of information about the KGB. It documents an awesome amount of information about the day to day operations of the KGB. The NSA is spying on the American people and the IRS has singled out conservative groups for “special consideration” because of their applications for 501c4 tax status. Presidents since Nixon including president’s Clinton and Obama have political “enemies” lists. The WATERGATE project was an operation to spy on the opposite political party. CREEP, the Committee To Re-Elect The President also comes to mind.

Check out: “VENONA” which cracked the codes used by the Soviets. The decrypts show the U.S. and other nations were targeted as early as 1942. Among those identified are Julius and Ethel Rosenberg; Alger Hiss; Harry Dexter White, the second-highest official in the Treasury Department; Lauchlin Currie, a personal aide to Franklin Roosevelt; and Maurice Halperin, a section head in the Office of Strategic Services.

The first Soviet secret police, the Cheka, were established in December 1917 as a temporary institution to be abolished once Vladimir Lenin and the Bolsheviks had consolidated their power.  The original Cheka, headed by Feliks Dzerzhinskii, was empowered only to investigate “counterrevolutionary” crimes.  But it soon acquired powers of summary justice and began a campaign of terror against the propertied classes and enemies of Bolshevism.  Although many Bolsheviks viewed the Cheka with repugnance and spoke out against its excesses, its continued existence was seen as crucial to the survival of the new regime.

Once the Russian Civil War (1918-21) had murdered the CZAR ended and the threat of domestic and foreign opposition had receded, the Cheka was disbanded.  Its functions were transferred in 1922 to the State Political Directorate, or GPU, which was initially less powerful than its predecessor.  Repression against the population lessened.  But under party leader Joseph Stalin, the secret police again acquired vast punitive powers and in 1934 was renamed the People’s Comissariat for Internal Affairs, or NKVD. No longer subject to party control or restricted by law, the NKVD became a direct instrument of Stalin for use against the party and the country during the Great Terror of the 1930s.

“THE BLACK BOOK OF COMMUNISM” chronicles the almost unbelievable destruction wrought because of Socialism during the twentieth century. Death and destruction is the common thread woven together by these and other history books about the Soviet Union, Communist China, Castro’s Cuba, Angola and many other states and cultures that came under the malevolent empires where freedom, liberty and and life itself were sacrificed in support of the Revolution of 1917 and the dictatorships based on the philosophy of Marxism.

Hitler formed the SS under Himmler and the SA. The GESTAPO had the authority to investigate cases of treason, espionage, sabotage and criminal attacks by German citizens on the Nazi Party and Germany. The power of the Gestapo most open to misuse was called Schutzhaft—”protective custody”, a euphemism for the power to imprison people without judicial proceedings. The basic Gestapo law passed by the government in 1936 gave the Gestapo carte blanche to operate without judicial review—in effect, putting it above the law. The Gestapo was specifically exempted from responsibility to administrative courts, where citizens normally could sue the state to conform to laws. America now has a “Secret Court”.

Note that central to the totalitarian dictatorships was a spy operation against enemies including the ordinary citizens controlled by those regimes. Secret police, the descendants of the spy operations set up by Felix Dzerzhinsky under Lenin, of Hiimmler and in America the NSA, the FBI, the CIA and the IRS seem to parallel some of the monitoring of local political, religious and other operations .

“The Secret World of American Communism” includes 92 documents that demonstrate clearly the way that American communism was used by the Soviet Union as a base of intelligence gathering INSIDE America. The NSA with it’s telephone intercepts and the IRS is doing similar activities against political enemies.

The book “IN DENIAL” is advertised thusly: “Beginning in the late 1960s, John Earl Haynes and Harvey Klehr say, the study of communism in America was taken over by “revisionists” who have attempted to portray the U.S. as the aggressor in the Cold War and saw suspicion about the American Communist Party (CPUSA) as baseless “paranoia.” Years after the death of communism, leading historical journals and prominent historians teach that America’s rejection of the Party was a tragic error, that American Communists were actually unsung heroes working for democratic ideals, and that those anti-Communist liberals and conservatives who drove the COMMUNIST PARTY of the USA, CPUSA to the margins of American politics in the 1950s were malicious figures deserving condemnation. The focus of “In Denial” is what the authors call “LYING ABOUT SPYING.” Haynes and Klehr examine the ways in which revisionist scholars have ignored or distorted new evidence from recently-opened Russian archives about espionage links between Moscow and the CPUSA. They analyze the mythology that continues to suggest, against all evidence, that Alger Hiss, Julius Rosenberg, Harry Dexter White, Lauchlin Currie, and others who betrayed the United States were more sinned against than sinning. They set the record straight about the spies among us. Haynes and Klehr were the first U.S. historians who used the newly opened archives of the former Soviet Union to examine the history of American communism. “In Denial” is the record of what they discovered there. They show that while the international communist movement may be dead, conflict over the meaning of the communist experience in America is still very much with us.

These 5 scholarly books and more completely exonerate Senator Joe McCarthy and condemn the KGB spy network set up by the Soviets inside America.

Socialist infiltration of our government in the forties is still “under the radar”.  The LEFT howls “McCarthyism” should one even imply that socialism is real and that socialism exists today. Yet it does, and its continued existence is assisted by the protection of the Obama White House. Making the threat known was a major reason why the left clamored so hard to get Glenn Beck off the air..

The recent exposure of the calandestine spying of the NSA against world leaders and especially against all Americans becomes troublesome when compared to the historic activities of the Secret Police. Sen. Rand Paul will join a lawsuit against President Obama, National Intelligence Director James Clapper, FBI Director James Comey, and NSA Director Keith Alexander because Obama “has publicly refused to stop a clear and continuing violation of the Fourth Amendment.  The Bill of Rights protects all citizens from general warrants. I expect this case to go all the way to the Supreme Court and I predict the American people will win.”
