The New York Times on Tuesday wrote: “The Congressional Budget Office estimated on Tuesday that the Affordable Care Act will reduce the number of full-time workers by 2.5 million over the next decade. That is mostly a good thing, a liberating result of the law.”
Reducing workers is “Mostly, A Good Thing”? That’s a worse idea, a really bad breakdown in logic to write or to even think something as mistaken as that. It’s not like people need healthcare insurance otherwise they will be a slave for the rest of their lives. It’s not as though people now have the ability to decide between slavery and freedom. Here’s a new idea for the Times. Work or Die. That’s how it is in reality. If someone doesn’t work for money they will not have money to buy food. No money, no food, die.
The welfare state, the American Welfare System violates that basic fact by paying people not to work. Welfare means the more money a person gets from working the less money they get from their neighbors. Hey New York di Blasio Liberals. The more free stuff you give people the more they want.
OK Liberals, you carp about a safety net. Here’s a safety net. Get a Job. You want a welfare state, you pay for it. Stop getting a dysfunctional government to pay people for not working. It leads to the silly economics of the Times and Obama: Work less, get more. Even someone who’s psychologically damaged, even loopy people like Biden and Gore know working less should mean less money. Neither Obama nor the Times are credible.
