Perhaps it’s not true. Maybe the open letter Dylan Darrow wrote about Woody Allen sexually abusing her was an attempt to, … maybe get her career launched? No, that’s almost impossible to believe or accept.

Dylan’s a beautiful 26 year old. Her open letter and photo (here) has been seen, probably, by millions in the past 24 hours. That either took loads of courage or loads of chutzpah. That’s great publicity too. OTOH, even though Allen has denied the sexual abuse there is plenty of evidence and talk about Allen’s pedophilia. He married Soon-Yi, one of his adopted children who was (allegedly) another small girl child victim. OTOH, the  State of Connecticut found probable cause to continue prosecuting Allen but allegedly stopped to protect Dylan.

Child abusers are the worst kind of predators because they abuse female children or female teen’s. A sort of Napoleonic complex. – Woody’s a small guy, 5 feet, five inches, who needs small women to abuse or they will overpower him.  He’s been getting away with it -if you believe Dylan and Mia Farrow who ran from Allen after she discovered what he was doing to her adopted teenage daughter Soon-Yi Previn.

He has not been tried for his offenses but no trial is needed in the court of public opinion. We are free to judge as we see fit.

Allen has a very different mind than normal people. He’s a self-admitted neurotic, a type of mental disfunctionality. He’s been in psychoanalysis for almost 40 years. His very odd sense of life, his strange intake and outlook on life make his appeal seem to be based on people watching some preposterous activity and saying to themselves: “I can’t believe that happened”.

Allen is bizarre. His behavior is weird. His fascination with children should never be encouraged. Why support, why watch freakish movies? With the Farrow episodes, there are so many and it’s OK to judge Mia as strange too, and with all of the better artistic endeavors all around, no one needs to ever look at him or his movies again. Unfortunately that will also hurt many good people innocently involved in his orbit so maybe mothers and fathers could keep their small girls away from Allen. Perhaps his work should be judged separately from him. uld We Judge His Work, His Art But Not Him?

No. That’s impossible. His work is him. His art is him. An artist presents himself in everything  he does. An artist re-creates the world according to his Metaphysical Values. It’s proper and correct to judge Allen and his art together. Otherwise we are judging ourselves and our reactions, not the values of Allen that were at work when he directed people in his movies.  _________________________

Maureen Orth at Vanity Fair10 Undeniable Facts About the Woody Allen Sexual-Abuse Allegation

2.   Allen had been in therapy for alleged inappropriate behavior toward Dylan with a child psychologist before the abuse allegation was presented to the authorities or made publicMia Farrow had instructed her babysitters that Allen was never to be left alone with Dylan.

 3.   Allen refused to take a polygraph administered by the Connecticut state police.Instead, he took one from someone hired by his legal team. The Connecticut state police refused to accept the test as evidence. The state attorney, Frank Maco, says that Mia was never asked to take a lie-detector test during the investigation.

4.   Allen subsequently lost four exhaustive court battles—a lawsuit, a disciplinary charge against the prosecutor, and two appeals—and was made to pay more than $1 million in Mia’s legal fees. Judge Elliott Wilk, the presiding judge in Allen’s custody suit against Farrow, concluded that there is “no credible evidence to support Mr. Allen’s contention that Ms. Farrow coached Dylan or that Ms. Farrow acted upon a desire for revenge against him for seducing Soon-Yi.”
