The 2010 National Census lists 39,726 people in Northampton Township. The board of elections list about 29,000 people registered to vote. The top local vote getter received 5,326 votes so 34,400 people did not vote for the top vote getter. Eighty Seven percent of the people didn’t vote for the winner.
