The charge of Racism has recently been made against the Confederacy but the Confederacy was eliminated in 1865 and the word Racism wasn’t invented until 1902, 37 years later. So the Confederates were never called racists.
Riddle me this: If the Confederates were never racists when they were alive how come they’re racists when they’re dead?
Lincoln said the war was fought to preserve the union. There is no evidence that Lincoln declared the war was fought to abolish slavery, and without such an official statement, the war-over-slavery teaching remains a complete lie and offensive hate speech that divides Americans, as is being done now by the media and politicians regarding the Confederate flag, Confederate statues and names of cities and even streets because the Confederacy stood for slavery.
If the people who want to destroy the statues of white confederates were really against slavery, why are’t they fighting slavery right now which is estimated to include from 20 million up to 40 million people today? HERE.
